Praise for JHS teachers. In 1985, I had an art show at Watkins Institue. I was the art director. To my complete surprise, Ms Worthy, Mrs. Shelton , Ms. Elston, Mrs. Freeman, and Ms. Williams, came to the opening of my Art Show at night in Nashville. I was blown away wth joy and the fact that they would travel to Nashville to see me. That night remains a true highlight of my life!

I also want to thank Coach Bray for letting me play basketball. It allowed me to form many new friendships especially since I was new to the school. It was so much fun singing all the songs of the day!

Edyth Worthy and I corresponded for years. She'll always be a favorite teacher!

School Story

I have two woderful daughters, and 6 grandchildren. This winter I got my 2nd West Highland Terrier, named Ellie. She is a delight and enjoys being outside like I do. My passions are art and gardening and love of animals.

Thomas Nelson pulished my art work which was sold through Hallmark,Walmart, Costco, etc. Nice way to pay off a house! I taught middle and high school art for 24 years.
I am now retired and love it! I paint ICon's and special art pieces for people I love. Jo O'cain, a college roommate, and I stay in touch. I have done some paintings for her Century Farm Winery. Great place to go! (Here in Jackson...music and wine on Saturday nights)
